Nosworthy and Turton dominate MG14 National Titles

The 2014/2015 MG14 National Titles were held at Gosford Sailing Club on the beautiful Brisbane Waters in early January 2015. The fleet of 23 boats from 11 different clubs enjoyed a range conditions with some close and interesting racing.

Carbon Neutral sailed by Rohan Nosworthy & Janine Turton from Queens Lake Sailing Club were crowned the 2014/2015 Australian Champions after sailing an almost flawless regatta. Nosworthy & Turton won 8 out of 9 heats over the 5 day series with their worst result being a fourth place to take out the title with two heats to spare. Second on 18 points was Chillin’ sailed by Greg Roche & Nathan Kaul from Taree Aquatic Club. Chillin' also showed great consistency after a bumpy start to the series. Third place went to father & son duo Neil & Josh Tasker aboard Tempest from Cronulla Sailing Club.

Handicap Champions were Jack Andrew & Lucas Hassett sailing Into The Mystic from St George Sailing Club, second was Filthy Fase sailed by David & Rees Wilde from Toronto SC, followed once again by Tempest in third. Junior Champions were That’s Gold sailed by Jeremy Dodds & Bailey Pereira from Taree and the Overall Champion Club went to Queens Lake Sailing Club.
