All things Rolex Sydney Hobart in Dec/Jan Australian Sailing

The Dec/Jan 17 issue is packed full of Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race features. First we look at who is entered with the form guide and entry list. Then Fay Khoo talks to Adrienne Cahalan about becoming the first woman to compete in her 25th Hobart Race, she also has a look at eveything else the record breaking navigator has done. Then finally, Will Oxley shares his story from the tragic 1998 Hobart race. He was the navigator on B-52 and came into some trouble after the boat rolled.

The Sydney Hobart is known to throw some of the toughest conditions at the fleet so we got some advice from North Sails about reefing and how to make sure you have done it right to minimise damage to the mainsail.

Bob Ross talks to Gordon Ingate about rescuing the beautiful Jasnar, the boat he skippered in the 1950 Hobart Race. It was also during that race that he won the heart of his wife Sally.

We also have a look at start line navigation, some practice drills and go behind the scenes at Musto and Ronstan. plus so much more!
