Victorian Tasar sailors recognised at awards night

With the season about to kick off, the Victorian Tasars got together for the  2013/14 presentations.  Between a highly competitive trivia quiz presented by Ronstan CEO Alistair Murray and a marshmallow/spaghetti building competition, most of the talk amongst the sailors was training plans for the up coming worlds in Busselton, Western Australia (tasar2015.com).

The winners of the trophies were:

Overall Season Winner (Peter Ellis/Charlotte Birbeck – Sandringham Yacht Club) – Beat the most number of boats in sanctioned events over the whole season.

Participation Winner (Chas & Lorraine Thompson – Cairn Curran Sailing Club) first competitor who competed in all sanctioned events around the state (plus a few more) – big thanks to Martyn Sly for providing a brand new jib as the prize.

2013/14 – Victorian State Titles – Super Grand Masters (Tony & Julie Creak – Royal Geelong Yacht Club) the inaugural presentation of the SGM.

2013 -Victorian Winter Series (Martyn & Sue Sly- Mordialloc Sailing Club).

The TAV would like to thank all members that came along and made it a fabulous night, and a special thank you to the TAV sponsors, Felco Australia (www.felco.com.au), Ronstan Australia (www.ronstan.com.au) and Sly Boat Building & Repair Centre (www.slyboatbuilding.com.au).
