May 2008: Arrivals

ARRIVALS

Conceived by a yacht builder and experienced ocean racer this rectangular frying pan gives maximum cooking area for minimum stove area. It measures 25 cm x 20 cm with deep 4.5 cm vertical sides creating a pan with a cooking area greater than a 25.5 cm round pan and still leaves room to put the kettle on. Made of heavy-gauge aluminium, giving good heat transfer and even cooking temperature right into the corners, the pan's ovenproof handle fits over most retaining rails and is especially compact to minimise the overhang from the stove. The front edge is sloped so that food can be dispensed with ease and rounded corners make it easy to pour hot liquids. The shape and compact handle make it more efficient in locker space: it can stand on its side, on end or flat.
RRP: $38.

Wireless Autoanchor

Need a chain counter but have no way to run the wires through the boat? The new AutoAnchor AA710 wireless, remote, chain counter and windlass control solves this problem.

The AA710 has all the features of the original AutoAnchors, including, the safety lock, the alarm and automatic release and retrieval of the anchor, without having to run wires all the way from the windlass to the helm station. The new plug and play sensor is fitted directly into the base station, close to the windlass and the hand held remote can be operated from almost anywhere on the boat.

The AA710 can be fitted to any windlass and, depending on the setup, it can turn on decklights or deckwash and operate a thruster as well as the windlass.

Shockproof, water resistant to IP65 standards and designed to the industry standard network 2.4GHz ISM band, the AA710 can operate anywhere in the world with high level transmission security. The console has rubber over moulding for grip and non-slip protection plus it comes with a cradle and protective cover.

Available from April 2008, the AA710 will be previewed at the Maxwell stand at the New Zealand On the Water Boat show.

Henri Lloyd Atmosphere Jacket

The new Henri Lloyd Atmosphere Jacket is part of the Atmosphere 360 range and is constructed by one of the most technically advanced fabrics ever made by Henri Lloyd ? TP AC, which features Adaptive Performance Technology. TP AC, is a new waterproof, windproof and extremely breathable fabric that is temperature sensitive. It works by responding to the wearer?s body temperature, by either encouraging both heat and vapour to escape, helping cool the wearer, or by restricting the loss of heat therefore helping to maintain warmth. The outer fabric has also been treated with a SDWR (Super Durable Water Repellency) finish ? which help to shed water therefore accelerates drying times and thus increasing comfort. All the seams are micro-stitched and taped to ensure an extremely durable and fully protected jacket. The shape of the jacket is contoured to reduce windage, articulated for ease of movement and the differential hem offers both more protection and ease of fit. Other features include a quick drying Rentex mesh collar lining offering supreme softness to sensitive facial areas, two side pockets with water resistant zips and a secure zip fastening internal pocket.
