It’s been two years since Oracle Team USA were disqualified from the America’s Cup World Series and penalised two points in the Cup itself for using an illegal kingpost on their multihulls. However, Glenn Ashby showed he hasn’t forgotten.
At the skipper’s press conference before this year’s World Series got underway, Ashby presented Oracle Team USA skipper (and fellow Australian) Jimmy Spithill with a new kingpin.
Anyone who knows Glenn knows he had his tongue firmly in his cheek and anyone who knows Jimmy knows he thought it was funny. Just a couple of Aussie larrikins having fun.
