The 2026 Pittwater Regatta, held last weekend at RPAYC, delivered an outstanding weekend of racing, with the Grand Soleil Cup Australia at its centre. The regatta hosted 87 yachts from over 14 clubs, providing an impressive backdrop for the Grand Soleil fleet. In the Cup division, three GS40s claimed the top three positions, underlining the competitiveness and quality of the fleet.
The overall winner, Lee Hawksley on Andiamo (GS40), received an incredible prize: a hosted trip to the International Grand Soleil Cup at the prestigious Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS) in Porto Cervo, Sardinia. The prize includes return flights, accommodation, full Italian hospitality, and front-row access to two days of world-class racing, offering an introduction to the international Grand Soleil community.
Over the course of the weekend, participants and spectators enjoyed awards on both race days, on-water racing, and a lively social program. The event provided an opportunity for Grand Soleil owners and crews to reconnect, share experiences, and celebrate the strength of the Australian fleet.

Although the winds were predominately light, it was incredible to see four of the top ten places on scratch to be taken but Grand Soleil Yachts, a testament to the new Matteo Polli designed Grand Soleil 40 and the brand itself as the ultimate luxury performance cruiser.
