The 2026 Tasmanian Sabre Championship is featuring intensely competitive racing. Tasmanian Sabre President, Matt Westland, attended the first day of this two-day event, stating, “We had great courses today which provided good reaching conditions for the fleet.” After three races, Matt Pilkington leads the charge, closely followed by Richard Parker and Jason Followes in the 20-boat fleet, with Westland predicting a close finish for the next day.
In the Off-the-Beach groups, Harry Gregory leads the WASZPs with three wins from three races, while Abbey Lodge and Nicholas Schoe head the ILCA 4 and ILCA 6 Classes, respectively.
