Seawind launch the 1250 in development

Seawind officially announce the launch of the new 41ft Seawind 1250 in development, with plans and images being released for the first time.

Following the huge success and world acclaim of the 38ft Seawind 1160, an all new blue water cruising catamaran is currently being developed by the Seawind team at the newly constructed 30,000sq ft state-of-the-art facility in Wollongong where the company employs approximately 100 people.

Though the new 41ft Seawind 1250 will include many of the award winning design features of the Seawind 1160, this model is an entirely new design being longer, higher (including bridgedeck clearance) and beamier than it's 38ft predecessor with dozens of new innovative and exciting features. The new design will also feature several new layouts including a Galley Up version, or Galley down with Nav Station up and luxurious Day bed.

Four boats have now already been sold including one from the Sydney Boat Show. Brand new tooling has been in development for several months and the first boat is already in construction and is due to be complete in October this year with the official water launch and christening at the Seawind Pittwater Regatta on Friday October 30.

An inspection of the site and the boat currently being built is available upon request.
