Great Barrier Reef Boat Sales today announced it is the newest distributor for Grand inflatable boats and tenders.
“After exhaustive research of both manufacturers and end users, we chose Grand because of their outstanding durability, sun and abrasion resistance which are important in the harsh Queensland climate,” said Rachael Hohnke, director of sales for Great Barrier Reef Boat Sales.
“It's not widely known that each Grand is made in Europe by hand, one at a time, and while the tenders are well known for comfort and performance, safety and reliability is the driving force behind all Grand inflatable boats,” she said.
The extended warranty offered on each tender is testament to their enduring quality – six years on PVC and 10 years on Hypalon materials – most models are available in either material.
“We also liked the range which includes light tenders like the Elf and Corvette range for small yachts and power boats through to larger centre console models such as the Golden Line and Silver Line ranges up to 6.5m in length, which represent a new age of luxury RIB design,” she added.
“Even though they are popular with luxury boats, the military and commercial operators, they are well priced for the average recreational purchaser,” Ms Hohnke said.
There are over 40 different Grand models and model versions available. This extensive range is a response to the increasing popularity of rigid inflatable boats for recreational boating as they are an affordable alternative to aluminum and fiberglass boats.
“They also have an excellent track record in offshore use,” she added.
Ms Hohnke says choosing the right Grand inflatable boat is based on the budget, purpose, dimensions, power rating and passenger capacity needed by the client.
With five Great Barrier Reef Boat Sales locations along the Queensland Coast from Laguna Quays to Townsville, the Central Queensland Coast will be well serviced by this distributorship.
Great Barrier Reef Boat Sales have a range of models in stock for viewing and sea trials can be arranged for clients from their office at Hawkes Boatyard, Abel Point Marina in Airlie Beach.
