TMG and McConaghy have just announced a long term partnership, with TMG to look after sales and distribution of McConaghy multihulls in Australia and New Zealand.
TMG Managing Director, John Cowpe said, “We are proud and excited to be working alongside such an iconic Australian brand within our industry. The world class manufacturing facilities developed by the team at McConaghy along with their unrivalled composite knowledge and expertise is world renowned. These guys are passionate about what they do and are fiercely proud of the end product. Our job is to introduce these exciting catamarans to a new and appreciative audience; sailors, looking for the refinement, speed and adaptability that building your dream catamaran with McConaghy can deliver.”
McConaghy released their new line of sailing catamarans at Boot Dusseldorf 23 January 2016. Designed by Jason Ker, the series will initially include 50’, 60’ and 90’ high performance cruising catamarans. McConaghy and Ker have collaborated for many years on racing and cruising yacht projects. Ker’s experience with BAR Racing (Britain’s America’s Cup race team) have put them at the very leading edge of multihull design, which combined with their undoubted styling ability, made them a natural choice.
McConaghy's expertise and know-how in lightweight, high strength, composite construction – combined with their existing expertise in multihull builds (140’ Tri Adastra, 60’ MC2, 53’ Banuls Tri) and 45+ years of race boat experience will benefit the multihull sector – where weight can have a big impact on performance.
TMG has offices throughout Australia and forms part of the Windcraft Group of companies.
