It takes a village – designing IMOCA 60 11.2

11th Hour Racing Team presents “The Making of” a series of videos that dive below the surface of the design and build process for our new IMOCA 60 11.2.

In the series we’ll explore three themes: Design, Art, and Innovation, the latter of which will dig into the sustainability initiatives that are a part of the boat build.

First up – DESIGN: More than two years in the making and tens of thousands of hours spent on the design and build process, 11th Hour Racing Team’s Skipper Charlie Enright, naval architect Guillaume Verdier and MerConcept project manager Armand de Jacquelot reflect on designing the Team’s IMOCA 60 for The Ocean Race 2022 – 23. The boat is set to hit the water at the end of August 2021.
