The 2027 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show has experienced its strongest opening sales period ever, with 199 exhibitor applications submitted in just four weeks. Following a series of sold-out shows and impressive exhibitor sales in 2026, organisers opened applications earlier than ever for this upcoming event.
Among the major brands that have expressed interest in exhibiting are Maritimo, Riviera, Horizon Yachts, and Princess Yachts, highlighting the show’s significance as a platform for luxury vessels and marine innovation. The on-land lineup includes prominent names in marine technology and equipment such as Mercury Marine, Raymarine, and Volvo Penta, among others.
There is strong early interest from new brands, adding excitement and innovation to the event. Organisers are also observing a demand for larger displays and an increase in international interest from brands looking to enter or expand in the Australian market.
Scheduled for 20 to 23 May 2027, the 38th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show will be a significant gathering for the global marine industry, featuring product launches, vessel premieres, and technology showcases. Corey Rattray-Wood, General Manager of Events & Partnerships, remarked that the record opening reflects the value exhibitors place on the show as both a commercial marketplace and an international launch platform.
The show is expected to attract over 40,000 visitors annually, with previous editions featuring more than 300 exhibitors and 700 vessels. Recent research estimates that SCIBS generates over $400 million in exhibitor sales and contributes to a combined economic impact of approximately $471 million, with significant visitor engagement and spending.
The event not only serves as a marketplace but also as a festival of boating and waterfront lifestyle, combining marine innovation with entertainment and hospitality. Exhibitors are planning larger displays for 2027, with early reports from brands like Princess Yachts and Volvo Penta indicating an impressive showcase of new technology and models.
Princess Yachts will present its largest display in the Southern Hemisphere, featuring the Australian debut of the all-new F55. Volvo Penta plans to showcase hybrid-electric and fully electric solutions, allowing visitors to interact with current and future technologies in boating.
Pantaenius Sail & Motor Yacht Insurance will mark its 15th year at SCIBS with its largest presence yet, emphasising the importance of the show in connecting with the boating community.
As the event approaches, further announcements regarding exhibitors, launches, and hospitality will be made. Tickets are anticipated to go on sale in early 2027, and potential visitors are encouraged to register for updates and plan their travel to the Gold Coast.
