Mateo Majdalani takes the helm as Nacra 17 President

As we gear up for the LA 2028 campaign, congratulations are in order for Mateo Majdalani, who has been appointed as the new President of the Nacra 17 class. This leadership transition marks a pivotal moment, emphasising the necessity for current sailors to have a more prominent voice within the class.

Mateo is a commendable choice for the role, showcasing a blend of excellent sailing credentials and a commitment to the community. Notably, he secured a Silver medal at the Paris Olympics with Eugenia Bosco and has been an active contributor to discussions surrounding the Nacra 17’s development and enhancement. His thoughtful approach and dedication position him perfectly to lead the class into its next chapter.

Following years of commendable service, Santiago Lange has stepped down as President. His leadership since 2021 has been instrumental in shaping the Nacra 17 community and elevating the sport on a global scale. We extend our deepest gratitude to Santiago for his unwavering support and vision.

Looking ahead, we are excited about the continued growth and success of the Nacra 17 under Mateo’s leadership. Thank you once again, Santiago, for all your contributions to the class.
