WingFoil World Cup champions again!

Mathis Ghio and Maddalena Spanu crowned 2025 World Cup champions.

Mathis Ghio from France, a dominant figure in Wingfoil racing, secured his fourth consecutive title at the finals held in Jeri, Brazil. Alongside him, 19-year-old Italian Maddalena Spanu completed an impressive season by winning the Women’s title, adding to her accolades of being both the Formula Wing European and World Champion.

The Men’s title was claimed by Kamil Manowiecki from Poland, celebrating his second successive win of the season-ending event. Manowiecki’s impressive performance stood out amidst challenging conditions.

The competition showcased various exciting moments, including dramatic races during the men’s semi-finals, where Ghio finished second, allowing his progression to the final.

The women’s final featured Spanu asserting her dominance right from the start, winning the gold and culminating a remarkable undefeated season. Spanu expressed her elation regarding her victory, calling it an amazing end to a dream year.

As the tournament wrapped up in Jeri, with its vibrant showcases, the Wingfoil racing fleet completed a thrilling season steeped in excitement and local culture.
