Spain’s Nia Suardiaz captured her third consecutive world title in the FreeFly-Slalom event in light winds in Abu Dhabi. Additionally, French sailor Bastien Escofet celebrated his inaugural world title, while Italian competitor Alessandro Tomasi secured his first event victory.
In the men’s event podium, Alessandro Tomasi (ITA) claimed first place, followed by Bastien Escofet (FRA) in second and Julien Rattotti (FRA) in third.
For the women’s event, Nia Suardiaz (ESP) took the top spot, with Kylie Belloeuvre (FRA) finishing second and Mar de Arce (ESP) securing third.
In the overall standings for the 2025 FreeFly-Slalom series, Bastien Escofet (FRA) topped the men’s ranking, followed by Francesco Cappuzzo (ITA) and Julien Rattotti (FRA). In the women’s standings, Nia Suardiaz (ESP) again led, with Kylie Belloeuvre (FRA) in second and Mar de Arce (ESP) in third.
