Webinar: Expert weather analysis of the Rolex Sydney Hobart

Marine Weather University has had a big year. Launched just six months ago, veteran meteorologist, Chris Bedford and 2x America's Cup winning navigator Peter Isler teamed up to provide the best marine weather education on the planet.   Today MWU’s university-level curriculum features over 20 individual classes – all online so students can learn at their own pace.

To celebrate the holidays, MWU is presenting this free live webinar:  4PM Tuesday, December 22 (New York)/8AM Wednesday Dec. 23 (Sydney).

Chris and Peter are huge fans of Australia's Boxing Day (Dec. 26) tradition – the 600-mile ocean race across the Bass Strait from Sydney to Hobart, Tasmania.  In this webinar Chris and Peter will take a professional look into the weather situation setting up for this year's Rolex Sydney Hobart Race. Is the record at risk?  Are the big or little boats favored on handicap? In the process they will show off some of the tools of their respective trades: professional weather analysis and weather routing.  This fun and informative course will be a combination weather briefing and tactical analysis.  It is aimed at anyone interested in learning about marine weather and preparation for a passage or race.  And it will be invaluable for race participants.

Registration is required to take this free course which will be first presented live and then made available at Marine Weather University for 24/7 access.
