The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) will return to the Gold Coast from 20–23 May 2027, with exhibitor applications now open for the 38th edition of the event.
The four-day show will once again bring together leading marine and lifestyle brands, with displays spanning superyachts and luxury vessels, power and sail, trailer boats, personal watercraft, fishing and watersports, marine technology and equipment.
Following successive sold-out events, organisers have opened exhibitor applications earlier than ever for 2027.
Mulpha Events General Manager – Events & Partnerships Corey Rattray-Wood said the earlier opening would give businesses more time to plan their involvement.
“SCIBS is where the marine industry comes together to launch new products, meet buyers, connect with customers and do business, and each year we see extraordinary demand from brands wanting to be part of the Show,” Rattray-Wood said.
“After successive sold-out events and what many across the industry regarded as one of our strongest Shows yet in 2026, we’re expecting demand to be even bigger in 2027.”
Strong numbers from 2026
More than 41,000 attendees and exhibitors took part in SCIBS 2026, including 9,383 visitors from interstate and overseas and international visitors from 28 countries.
Independent research commissioned by Tourism and Events Queensland found the 2026 event generated $23.3 million in direct and incremental expenditure across Queensland, including $21.3 million on the Gold Coast – an 85 per cent increase since 2024.
The event also generated more than 32,700 visitor nights on the Gold Coast, while Griffith University research estimated more than $400 million in exhibitor sales and orders were generated from the show.
Exhibitor applications now open
Applications are open to international and Australian marine businesses as well as premium lifestyle brands, with opportunities across SCIBS’ on-water and land-based exhibition areas.
Businesses interested in exhibiting are encouraged to apply early, with the show having sold out in successive years.
The 38th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show will be held at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast from 20–23 May 2027.
