Realteam Spirit takes narrow lead at TF35 Geneva Grand Prix

Day 2 of the TF35 Geneva Grand Prix featured five thrilling races in 10–15 knots on Lake Geneva. At the halfway stage of the regatta, Realteam Spirit leads by a narrow margin of just one point. Returning to the circuit after a break, helm Jérôme Clerc noted, “Our main focus this year has been the Bol D’Or, so we entered this event mainly to see how we measured up against the others. What we’re seeing is that the level has really risen this year. The fleet is incredibly tight – we’ve completed ten races in two days in 10–15 knots, and it’s been magnificent. Now we really have to fight to maintain our level, and that’s exciting for the future.”

Duncan Späth’s Sails of Change 10 was the standout performer, achieving several podium finishes and leading Race 7 from the windward gate to victory. After a technical issue caused them to retire from the last race on Day 1, Julien Firmenich’s Ylliam 17 rebounded impressively, winning both the first and last races of the day. Their Race 6 saw them battling closely with Realteam Spirit before taking the win in their final race.

Zen Too had a mixed day, starting with an OCS in the first race but bouncing back with a fourth-place finish in Race 7 and a second place in Race 8. Their highlight came in Race 9, where they dominated from start to finish for a well-deserved win. Meanwhile, Ylliam XII – Comptoir Immobilier capsized during the first race but, fortunately, no injuries or damage occurred. They plan to return strong for the final day.

The TF35 Geneva Grand Prix concludes tomorrow with five races scheduled to start at 11:30.
