Platu25 World Championship 2026 – The Australian team “Aftershock” remains in the lead

On September 17, the second day of the Platu25 World Sailing Championship took place, organised by the Circolo Nautico Sambenedettese and sponsored by local municipalities and the Marche Region. All three scheduled races were held today. Lithuania’s “Manu” won the first race, with LNI Mandello del Lario’s “Pirillina” in second and “Aftershock” in third.

In the second and third races, the Australian team “Aftershock” returned to the top of the standings, winning both races. On the podium for the second race were C.V. Ventoforte with “Flash Cube” and Ecclevì, featuring current and former ILCA class athletes. In the third race, the Lithuanians on “Manu” secured second place again, followed by the Italian team from the Senigallia Sailing Association with “Fandango.”

After six races and with one discard as per the rules, Aftershock continues to lead the overall standings, followed by Fandango and the Lithuanian team led by Radvilas Janulonis on “Manu.”
