Lots to do and places to go with this Christmas Cruising Helmsman

December Cruising Helmsman means two things: lots of Christmas ideas plus a trailer sailer feature stories.

Do not worry there is plenty for all those grouches or keelboat owners as well.

Every December, editor Phil Ross presents those interesting items he has seen over the year that take his fancy as suitable Christmas gifts. This month also includes a list of items that will keep any galley slave happy. Just like an army, a yacht runs on its stomach as well. If you want a well-fed happy crew then it pays to keep those that work in the galley happy as well.

Added to all these ideas is an expanded “What's New' product section as well, where you can find heaps more ideas for the yachtie in your life (especially if that means you!)

On the trailer sailer front we have a fantastic article showing how one clever Farrier trimaran owner has managed to include a double bed, full galley including microwave, dining table and even a private head into his main hull. Inspirational for any yacht owner.

We take a couple of cruises where trailer sailers would be able to shine: Lake Macquarie and Moreton Bay

If you liked what you saw with the latest Beneteau Oceanis 41.1 at the recent boat shows you can read all about our in-depth review in this month's issue as well.

To top it off we have another expose on what is happening with mobile phone reception in Australia's biggest cruising ground: the Whitsundays.

Plus so much more.

If you are looking for the best Christmas present, why not get your much-loved yachtie a subscription to the best cruising magazine in the world?
