The two-time Rolex Sydney Hobart line honours winner formerly known as LawConnect will return to racing under the InfoTrack name in 2026, with a new charity partnership, celebrity crew member and expanded onboard live-streaming coverage.
Technology company InfoTrack has reclaimed the naming rights to its 100-foot SuperMaxi ahead of the 2026 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, marking the first time in four years that the yacht will compete under the InfoTrack name.
The yacht, which has claimed line honours twice in the 628-nautical-mile race, will return with a new black, white and orange livery and a campaign combining competitive sailing with fundraising for Starlight Children’s Foundation.
The campaign, titled ‘Sailing for a Purpose’, will give sailing fans an opportunity to follow the yacht’s progress while supporting seriously ill children and their families.
InfoTrack returns to the start line
InfoTrack founder, owner and skipper Christian Beck said the return of the InfoTrack name marked a new chapter for the SuperMaxi.
“This year, we’re bringing the InfoTrack name back to the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race using our technology to bring people closer to the race and support Starlight Children’s Foundation,” Beck said.
“This is the people’s boat. We want everyone to feel part of the race, whether they’re watching us live from onboard the InfoTrack SuperMaxi, following the crew from start to finish or donating to Starlight.
“If we can make a difference to sick kids and their families along the way, that’s a win in itself.”
The yacht will once again be chasing line honours in one of the world’s most demanding offshore races, while using its profile to raise awareness and funds for the children’s charity.
Matty J joins the 21-strong crew
Australian Father of the Year 2026 and media personality Matty J has been announced as the official ambassador for the ‘Sailing for a Purpose’ campaign.
He will also join the SuperMaxi’s 21-strong crew for the sailing season and the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.
A Starlight ambassador since 2024, Matty J said the opportunity brought together a personal challenge and a cause close to his heart.
“As a dad of three young girls, I know what it’s like to experience the stress of illness and emergency trips to hospital. That’s why I’m so proud to support Starlight and the incredible work they do for sick kids.
“Learning to sail was my New Year’s resolution, so I’ve certainly thrown myself in the deep end. Being part of the ‘Sailing for a Purpose’ campaign is a unique opportunity to help make a real difference, and I can’t wait to get out on the water with the crew.”
Sailing for Starlight Children’s Foundation
The charity partnership will use the profile of the Sydney Hobart to encourage donations and support for Starlight Children’s Foundation.
Starlight CEO Louise Baxter welcomed the initiative, saying it would allow sailing followers to contribute to something beyond the race itself.
“Thanks to InfoTrack, the millions of people who watch the race will have the opportunity to help Starlight create moments of happiness and joy for seriously ill children and their families that will last long after the race is over.”
More onboard cameras and live-streaming technology
InfoTrack is also planning to expand the technology available to spectators following the yacht throughout the race.
According to InfoTrack CEO John Ahern, the SuperMaxi will carry a record number of onboard cameras, allowing viewers to follow the action live, including during the night.
“The InfoTrack SuperMaxi will have the most advanced technology on the water. With a record number of cameras live-streaming from onboard, including throughout the night for international viewers to follow the race as it unfolds,” Ahern said.
The technology is intended to give sailing fans a closer look at life aboard the 100-footer during the 628-nautical-mile passage from Sydney to Hobart.
New colours unveiled in Sydney
The InfoTrack SuperMaxi’s new black, white and orange branding was unveiled at Woolwich Dock in Sydney on 4 November 2026.
With two previous line honours victories to its name, the yacht will return to the Boxing Day start line looking for another win, while bringing its ‘Sailing for a Purpose’ campaign to a wider audience.
The 2026 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race starts on 26 December.
