The Golden Globe Race 2026 has officially commenced, with sixteen skippers departing from Les Sables-d’Olonne on 6 September. The event marks a significant moment in sailing history, as the sailors set out for a seven-to-eight-month solo circumnavigation, facing extreme conditions and isolation.
