Far East 28 gains ISAF One-design approval

Far East 28R

On the last day of the ISAF annual meeting, the Council Meeting agreed to accept the FAREAST 28R as a new One Design class. Earlier during the week, the FAREAST 28R OD-application passed both the Equipment Committee, and the Oceanic & Offshore Committee without any comments.

The FAREAST 28R has enjoyed rapid growth and 120 boats have been sold during the first year since the boat was launched in October 2014. Fareast Yachts says the success for this boat is based on factors such as high performance, good quality, low running costs, easy to tow, low maintenance, and an affordable price (USD 38,000).

“The FAREAST 28R has already been sold to several countries during its first year, and now with the ISAF status, we will see further growth as the OD-status will be recognized,” says Mats Runström, Fareast Int. Sales and Marketing. “As Fareast will be more recognized as a brand in conjunction with the ISAF OD status for our keel boats, it will help us to establish and grow our distribution network globally, as we currently searching for dealers in several countries,” says Ms. Demolar Du, founder and co-owner of Fareast.

The official contract between Fareast and ISAF will be signed in a few weeks time.Info@FarEastYachts.com.au, web: www.fareastyachts.com.au.
