Barton Marine has appointed DeckHardware Marine Solutions Australasia to distribute its range of deck gear across the Australasia region. Barton’s blocks and traveller car systems and accessories will be available for chandleries, OEMs and riggers to order in September.
Barton is described as “a pioneer of leisure marine hardware” with a history dating back to 1948 when founder Ron Barton was the first to use Tufnol to develop a range of lighter and stronger blocks before leading the industry into plastic moulding in the 1960s.
In 2018 the full block range was redesigned to include new contemporary styling, lower profiles and higher load ratings. Bartons claim the range is “competitive for everyone from dinghy sailors to cruising yacht owners, adding a new dimension to DeckHardware’s marketplace”.
