Artemis Racing return to global stage as Sweden enters SailGP for 2026 season

SEPTEMBER 19, 2025, GENEVA, SWITZERLAND | Announced today ahead of SailGP’s Geneva debut, Artemis Racing, Sweden’s internationally acclaimed sailing team, confirmed its return as Artemis SailGP Team for the Rolex SailGP Championship’s 2026 Season.

Under the experienced leadership of CEO Iain Percy, an Olympic gold medallist who previously served as the team manager during Artemis Racing’s America’s Cup campaigns, the team is well-positioned to make an impact in SailGP’s sixth season, beginning in January 2026 in Perth, Australia.

Backed by Torbjörn Törnqvist, the Artemis SailGP Team will bring Sweden’s rich sailing heritage and competitive spirit to SailGP, a global championship featuring cutting-edge technology and the best athletes in the sport.

Notably, Nathan Outteridge returns as driver for Artemis SailGP Team. The Olympic gold medalist previously led the Japan SailGP Team to success in Seasons 1 and 2.

Of his return to the championship, Outteridge expressed excitement about reuniting with Iain, Torbjörn, and the Artemis team, highlighting their shared history and the opportunity to showcase Swedish sailing in one of the toughest racing arenas.

Since its founding in 2007, Artemis Racing has been synonymous with innovation and competitive excellence, having competed at the forefront of the America’s Cup, including in 2013 and 2017.

Artemis SailGP Team is the league’s 13th international team, finalising the 2026 Season line-up after a competitive global bid process. They join powerhouse nations including Australia, Great Britain, and New Zealand, with a full crew announcement expected in the coming weeks.

SailGP returns this weekend for the first time on the waters of Lake Geneva, with the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix taking place over two days of racing, Saturday September 20-21, 2025, starting at 3.30 p.m. CEST. More details are available at SailGP.com/Watch.
