Men’s 470 sailing gold medalist Mat Belcher carried the Australian flag as a festive and fanciful Closing Ceremony brought the Tokyo Olympics to an end on Sunday night.
Like the Opening Ceremony, there were no fans in attendance at the 68,000-seat Olympic Stadium, but that didn’t stop the hosts from putting on an incredible display of technological wizardry including a stunning light show.
