Nominations are now open for the World Sailing Awards 2026, the sport’s premier global awards, celebrating exceptional performance, inspirational leadership, and contributions that shape the future of sailing. The nomination period closes on 30 September 2026.
Categories include:
– Rolex World Sailor of the Year awards, recognising sailing’s highest achievers.
– Young World Sailor of the Year awards, acknowledging the next generation of sailing stars.
– Impact Award, celebrating significant contributions to positive environmental or social impact in sailing.
– Team of the Year, honouring successful crews.
– Beppe Croce Trophy and President’s Development Award, recognising outstanding individual and regional contributions.
To nominate individuals and teams deserving recognition, use the official online form. The awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday 18 November at the Qingdao International Conference Center in Qingdao, China, during the World Sailing Annual Conference.
The awards will showcase dedication and diversity in sailing, from prestigious individual and team recognitions to social or environmental impacts. The Rolex World Sailor of the Year is the highest accolade for a sailor, supported by Rolex since 2001. Winners are revealed during the ceremony, receiving both the award and a Rolex timepiece.
Nominations in all categories will be evaluated by a panel of independent experts, with a shortlist created for public voting.

The Qingdao International Conference Center will welcome over 400 international delegates, sports officials, and prominent figures from the sailing world, creating a fitting environment to celebrate global sailing achievements.
The event is supported by the Chinese Yachting Association and various local organisations.
