The ILCA Class will officially implement RaceSense at the 2026 ILCA 6 Women’s and ILCA 7 Men’s Senior World Championships in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland, marking the first major ILCA events to use automated OCS detection technology.
Following a successful test event in Vilamoura in 2025, the class is ready to bring RaceSense to the racecourse to help reduce recalls, improve fairness, and streamline race management for one of the most competitive fleets in Olympic sailing.
The International Dragon Class is also embracing RaceSense, officially adding the system to its class rules beginning April 1, 2026. The technology will make its debut at the Dragon Grand Prix Sanremo, hosted by Yacht Club Sanremo from April 15–18.
With a busy international season ahead, including the Dragon European Championship in Helsinki and the World Championship in Hong Kong, RaceSense will support the class with enhanced GPS tracking, real-time race data, and automated OCS detection to help deliver cleaner starts and more efficient race management.
