Maltese Falcon following her refit

We just put up a link to the Christana O restoration, but Boat International have also publish some images of the Maltese Falcon refit, which although a bit more modern are none the less beautiful.

Launched in 2006, the project took nearly six years to complete. With radical unstayed masts made of “weapons-grade” carbon fibre and a computerised sail and mast control system, Maltese Falcon (and its FalconRig) are still considered a triumph of design, development and engineering.

The 88m superyacht emerged from her six month refit with a new cinema room on the main deck, a Japanese-style dining room and an upgrade of technical systems – including “more sustainable” LED lighting and the latest Starlink WiFi.

She also underwent a hull repaint (from black to “Perini Blue”) and received a new extendable passerelle, inflatable platform and range of tenders and toys.
