The Garmin ORC World Championships took place in Tallinn, Estonia recently, showcasing the new race yacht designed and built by X-Yachts, the XR41, which achieved impressive results with finishes of 1st, 2nd, and 4th.
A total of 22 yachts from 10 countries participated in the ORC (B) Division, featuring brands such as X-Yachts, Italia Yachts, J-Yachts, Farr, Grand Soleil, and Sydney Yachts. X-Yachts dominated the event, securing six of the top ten positions.
The XR41 marks X-Yachts’ return to its racing roots. Kevin Wallis, Managing Director of X-Yachts Australia & New Zealand, expressed satisfaction, stating, “After three years of design, testing, regattas, and now a World Championship, it’s great to be back on the race circuit with a new yacht.” He further highlighted the versatility of the XR41, noting that it can be transformed into a fast family cruiser in just 30 minutes by adding a few cabinets, shelves, tables, and bedding.
Since its world premiere in January 2025, X-Yachts have sold over 20 of the XR41.
