Transat Jacques Vabre recap

The 2021 Transat Jacques Vabre ended today with the very last boat, the Class40 Terre Exotique, crossing the finish line less than an hour before the cut-off time.

In total, 150 sailors and 75 crews have made it to Martinique from Le Havre over the past two weeks. A record 15th edition, right to the end.

Fourty-five boats at the start, 43 at the finish, between Monday November 29 at noon and Sunday December 5 at 12.31.

Winner: Redman (Antoine Carpentier – Pablo Santurde del Arco) in 21 days 22 hours 33 minutes 30 seconds.

Imoca
Twenty-two boats at the start, 20 finished between Thursday November 25 14.48 and Thursday December 2 12.25.

Winner: LinkedOut (Thomas Ruyant – Morgan Lagravière) in 18 days 1 hour 21 minutes 10 seconds.

Seven boats at the start, seven at the finish, between Tuesday November 23 02.54 and Wednesday November 24 16.08.

Winner: Primonial (Sébastien Rogues – Matthieu Souben) in 15 days 13 hours 27 minutes 14 seconds.

Five boats at the start, five at the finish, between Tuesday November 23 15.16 and Saturday November 27 at 03.59.
