SailGP and Doyle Sails sign multi-season partnership extension through to 2030

On January 12, 2026, SailGP, the premier racing league on water, confirmed a multi-season extension with Doyle Sails that will last until 2030. This partnership has been in place since the inception of the Rolex SailGP Championship, with Doyle Sails providing the sails for SailGP’s F50 catamarans since the league’s formation in 2019.

The announcement comes just before the highly anticipated 2026 Season opener at the Oracle Perth Sail Grand Prix presented by KPMG (January 17–18), marking the first five-year agreement between the two organisations.

Doyle Sails, established nearly 40 years ago and known for its innovative high-performance sail solutions, supports all 13 international teams in SailGP, supplying six jibs per team to ensure their competitive readiness during the league’s 13-event calendar. Their involvement goes beyond providing sails, as they also assist in modelling and analysing the complete aerodynamic package, including the multi-element hard wings, through close collaboration with SailGP Technologies, which includes expert boatbuilders and engineers.

Joel Marginson, Director of SailGP Technologies, emphasised the importance of having a partner like Doyle Sails, stating, “Their best-in-class sails are crucial for our athletes’ experience and the quality of our racing. Our collaboration has evolved alongside the championship, driving both brands to continuously innovate and improve. We are excited about what lies ahead over the next four seasons and beyond.”

Emma Hendy, Chief Commercial Officer of Doyle Sails, expressed pride in the partnership extension, highlighting the privilege and responsibility involved in powering the F50 fleet. “This partnership transcends mere sail supply; it embodies a deep technical collaboration aimed at achieving the highest levels of innovation and precision in performance. As SailGP continues to grow, we look forward to further pushing boundaries together,” she stated.

The 2026 Season of the Rolex SailGP Championship is set to commence this weekend in Perth, with fast-selling tickets. For more information, visit SailGP.com/Perth.
