The second day of races at the 2026 ILCA 7 Men’s World Championship concluded today with both scheduled races completed, bringing the Qualifying Series to a close as planned, with five races now on the scoreboard.
Matt Wearn (10), Zac Littlewood (15), Ethan Mcaulley (27) and Isaac chotte (38) have all progressed to Gold Fleet.
Racing started at 12:00 as scheduled, in around 11 knots of wind and some swell, which eased to 7–9 knots and smaller waves for the rest of the day.
Finn Lynch (IRL) continues to lead the championship on 9 points, followed by Ole Schweckendiek (GER) and Jonatán Vadnai (HUN) with 12 and 14 points respectively.
Sailing across three different fleets, the standout of the day was Michael Beckett (GBR), who scored 1-3 in the red fleet to jump ten places into fifth, tied on 15 points with fourth-placed Elliot Hanson (GBR) and sixth-placed Tonci Stipanovic (CRO).
