Musto wins exclusive rights to CYCA clothing merchandise

Musto Australasia has been awarded the exclusive rights to provide clothing merchandise and staff uniforms to the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia. Additionally, Musto joins the family of CYCA Youth Sailing Academy sponsors through their sponsorship of an Elliot 6.0m training yacht and the Musto International Youth Match Racing regatta.

Established in 1965, Musto was founded by British Olympic sailor and engineer Keith Musto, who combined his sports and technical expertise to create product to withstand even the most extreme conditions.

Commodore Matt Allen said “The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia is pleased to announce that Musto Australasia has been awarded the exclusive rights to provide CYCA clothing and staff uniforms. Musto clothing is renowned throughout the sailing industry for its fabric technology which keeps sailors warm and dry whilst racing or cruising.”

“Their continued support of the sport of sailing is further recognised by Musto's sponsorship of the Youth Sailing Academy and the Musto International Youth Match Racing Regatta,” concluded Allen.

The Musto International Youth Match Racing regatta will be conducted from 23-27 November 2009. There is strong interest in the regatta with defending champion, William Tiller from RNZYS and Josh Junior from Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club (NZ) making the journey across the Tasman. The CYCA will be represented by two teams skippered by Will MacKenzie and Jay Griffin.

Musto Australasia managing director Duncan Curnow said the range of lifestyle apparel on offer at the club had been specially selected to appeal to its broad membership base.
