Olympian Lisa Darmanin and Rolex Sydney Hobart Winner Jack Macartney to Lead Live Broadcast of Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race

The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) is pleased to confirm Olympian Darmanin and 2022 & 2024 Rolex Sydney Hobart winner Macartney as the lead commentators for the live broadcast of the 2025 Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race.

Two of Australia’s most respected sailors, Olympian Lisa Darmanin and two-time Rolex Sydney Hobart winner Jack Macartney, will headline the live broadcast of the 2025 Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, bringing world-class insight and commentary as the fleet sets sail from Sydney Harbour at 1300hrs on Saturday 26 July.

Lisa Darmanin, named Australian Female Sailor of the Year in 2015, claimed an Olympic silver medal in Rio 2016 in the Nacra 17 class. She now brings her knowledge and enthusiasm to the screen as a regular commentator for SailGP and the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.

Jack Macartney is a highly respected offshore racer, best known for winning Overall Honours in the 2022 & 2024 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race aboard Celestial & Celestial V70. His deep racing experience and tactical knowledge will bring valuable insights to the live broadcast.
