Over 300 delegates have registered for the Marinas26 International Conference and Trade Exhibition (Marinas26), set to take place on the Gold Coast at the Royal Pines Resort on 25 & 26 May 2026. The event will kick off with the Pelagic Risk Services Miami Welcome Cocktail Party, providing a great opportunity for attendees to unwind after the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
MIA President Andrew Chapman AM CMM expressed satisfaction with the growing exhibition component, stating there are over 60 booths this year showcasing a diverse range of products from technology to marinas. The exhibition highlights the value of this opportunity for industry suppliers.
Significant sponsorship from industry players ensures a memorable delegate experience. North Harbour will sponsor the popular Happy Hour networking event, and additional support comes from familiar names such as Bellingham Marine and Marine Structures, along with newcomers including Red Dog Group and Elite Dynamics.
Media support for Marinas26 includes local backing from Marine Business News and global coverage from Marina World, catering to the 15-20% of attendees expected from overseas.
This year, Shoreside Clothing will operate from the Shoreside Shop, providing unique souvenirs for delegates. Despite concerns regarding travel reluctance due to recent global events, the allure of the conference, which occurs biennially, has generated significant interest. Marians26 Content Committee Chair, Karen Baldwin, noted that the programme is highly relevant to marina owners and operators, offering insights into sector health, marina design, and contemporary issues like AI. The inclusion of renowned speaker Mark Richards is anticipated to be a draw for attendees.
Although accommodation at the Royal Pines Resort is fully booked, options are available at the nearby Mercure Palm Meadows, with a shuttle service facilitating transport to the conference venue.
Two Study Tours are scheduled for Wednesday, 27th. One tour will visit three luxury superyacht marinas in the Whitsundays, including Coral Sea Marina and Hamilton Island Marina. The second will explore new superyacht marinas on the Gold Coast, such as Mantaray Marina & Residences and The Boatworks, along with the Akzo Nobel Paint Training Facility.
Marinas26 is a crucial event for marina owners, operators, and suppliers, offering a prime platform to connect with industry colleagues, discover new products, and stay informed on the latest trends.
