The Australian Sailing Team have wrapped up day 4 of Kiel Week with another wild and windy day, and the Aussies stepped up to grab their spot in the Medal Races – here’s who’s flying the flag in the finals:

In the ILCA 6, it was an impressive day across the board. Casey Imeneo sailed consistently to lock in 6th overall and a spot in the medal race. Elyse Ainsworth will go into tomorrow in 7th. Mara Stransky rounds out the Aussie trio in the top 10 securing 10th and a place in the final. In the ILCA 7, two Aussies will be in the fight Michael Compton has earned his place in the medal race in 9th and Ethan McAullay joins him in 10th, capping off a solid return to European racing.

Over in the 49er Otto Henry and Shaun Connor are right in the medal mix, sitting 6th overall with plenty to play for. In the 49erFX Laura Harding and Annie Wilmot held their nerve to move up to medal race contention sneaking into 9th and ready to give it everything.

And in the iQFOiL Women, Sammie Costin will contest the medal series in 7th. She’s been building all week and is ready to take on the knockouts.

It’s set to be a thrilling final day in Kiel, with the Nacra’s set to begin their series.

Let’s go, Aussies! 💚💛
