The Australian Sailing Team are well into Kiel Week and day 3 delivered wind, rain and great racing. The breeze arrived with a bang, giving the ILCA 6, ILCA 7, and 49erFX fleets a wild ride on the water. Unfortunately, the 49er fleet had to sit today out as the wind cranked up just a bit too much. But the Aussies made the most of the action!
Elyse Ainsworth thrived in the tricky conditions and has climbed to 1st overall in the ILCA 6! Four Aussies in the top 10 too with Casey Imeneo in 7th after snagging a race win, Zoe Thomson is holding strong in 8th, and Sylvie Stannage is right there in 10th
In the ILCA 7s, Ethan McAullay powered into 9th overall to lead the Aussie charge. Meanwhile, Laura Harding and Annie Wilmost embraced the breeze and now sit in 12th in the 49erFX.
