Kayle returns from successful 2018 Northern Outreach Programs

After departing Sydney in August and heading to Southport, Kayle has this week returned to Sydney after yet another highly successful Northern Outreach program, visiting Southport, Rosslyn Bay, Mackay, Coffs Harbour and Newcastle.

During the Program we delivered 55 Winds of Joy sails plus three corporate sails (NPE), with 39 schools/organisations and had only three cancellations due to weather (one on the day; two due to an approaching weather front affecting delivery plans to next port) and we had 46 wonderful volunteer crew members!

Some feedback from participants:
“The volunteers are fantastic – helpful, caring, and enthusiastic to talk and interact with our students. We had a wonderful experience sailing out from Rosslyn Bay today on board Kayle. Thank you to the volunteers and the organisation – providing an amazing experience for those who may not normally get to do something like this.”

“We wanted to take the time to say a huge thank you to all the volunteers assisting with the 12:30pm group on Tuesday 28th August in Mackay.

“Our son James had a great time with his friends. Whilst James has limited speech, his great big smile when he returned said it all. If it wasn’t for your organisation, he would have never had an opportunity to experience sailing. You definitely made his day. Be assured we have made a donation to your organisation.”
