Extreme Series contest winners enjoy their race on Sydney Harbour

This website gave away a race on an Extreme 40 to two readers of our twice-weekly e-newsletter. Originally scheduled to race on Friday, they had to wait until Saturday as wind gusts were too high for guest sailors on the first day.

“My son raced first, in race 2 on Saturday and I raced in race 3, both of us sailing on Gazprom, the Russian team,” said retired Queensland policeman Allan Schepers. “It was an absolutely exhilarating experience and the skill of the crew in managing the boat was amazing, coming in fourth place in both our races.

“Our thanks again for making this wonderful opportunity available – an experience of a lifetime…”

The mysailing team is now looking for other exciting sailing experiences we can give away. To sign up for the newsletters, which summarises the world's best sailing stories of the past few days and also attaches excellent “how to” articles from our magazines Australian Sailing and Cruising Helmsman, go back to the Home page and fill in your name and email address in the “subscribe” box.
