Day Four of the 2016 Etchells Australian Championship from the Royal Brighton Yacht Club in Melbourne has become a free day.
They will get their chance tomorrow with three races now scheduled from 1100hrs to complete a full series.
While mid 20 knot winds from the sou’west and a choppy seaway may not be too strenuous, the threat of dangerous and nasty thunderstorm cells was more than enough for the Race Committee to pull racing.
Applause greeted the announcement, for it could well have been boat-breaking conditions.
