Brisbane’s only Boat Expo will take place at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron on 7th and 8th November. This edition promises to be larger than the Winter version held in June, offering a free event open to the public.
Attendees can expect to see a wide range of exhibitors, including yachts, fishing boats, and various accessories such as inflatable pontoons. The event has expanded to feature displays from sailing boat associations, the Squadron’s Sailing Academy, and Youth Squad, allowing visitors to engage with experts and see different boat classes in action.
The Boating Industry Association (BIA) will support the event by hosting a jobs stand and a public panel discussion on career opportunities in the marine sector. BIA CEO Andrew Fielding commented on the employment landscape within the industry, highlighting the variety of career paths available.
This community-focused event provides an engaging alternative to larger boat shows. Visitors are invited to relax on the on-water displays and enjoy the facilities at the RQYS Bistro. Additionally, the “Treasures from the Bilge” carboot sale will offer boating parts and accessories at bargain prices.
With over $3 million worth of products sold at the previous event, the Get Onboard Boat Expo showcases Brisbane’s enthusiasm for boating. Attendance remains free, and exhibitor fees are kept low to encourage participation from a broad range of exhibitors.
