Australia’s largest luxury yacht auction to go ahead next week

Ray White Marine and Ahoy Club have jointly announced “Australia’s largest luxury yacht auction”, set for 5 August in Sydney.

The largest yacht to be sold is the 46-metre Benetti Mistress. The 1990-built vessel was refitted last year and features a custom Versace interior with an Art Deco theme. She was originally set to be sold in a separate auction in 2022, with a reserve price of just $1 (AUS) set by Lloyds Auctioneers & Valuers, but it is unclear whether the auction went ahead.

The 30-metre Sunseeker Chaos will also go under the hammer in Saturday’s bidding, with Ahoy Club describing the yacht as one of “the most popular charter vessels on Sydney Harbour with the capacity to charter up to 36 guests for the day”.

Three sub-24-metre yachts will be available to bid on, including a 20.3-metre Bertram called Little John II, a 13-metre Pardo called Trouble and a 12-mere Axopar called Cheeky II.
