The Multihull Cup 2026 took place from 25th to 27th September at Port Adriano, Mallorca, celebrating a decade of racing in a unique community atmosphere. This year’s event attracted five diverse high-performance multihulls, resulting in intense competition on the water and camaraderie ashore.
The racing began on Friday with an 18.5-mile coastal course for Gunboat Race Day. Highland Fling XVIII claimed line honours, followed by Allegra in second place and Gaea in third. The second day featured windward-leeward races in Palma’s bay, with Allegra winning both races, solidifying its position for the final day.
Sunday’s North Sails Race Day saw Highland Fling XVIII initially take the lead but was later disqualified. Allegra secured victory, with Gaea finishing closely behind, ensuring Allegra’s overall win and Gaea’s second place by just a point.
Adrian Keller’s Irens 84 Allegra made history by winning its fourth Multihull Cup title, a testament to the evolving competitive nature of the event. The race director, Inés Cabrer, and her team navigated various racing conditions skillfully, creating a challenging yet enjoyable environment.
The regatta exemplified the spirit of the Multihull Cup, where racing excellence meets a friendly family atmosphere. With an emphasis on community, the event encourages owners and crews to engage, fostering relationships that extend beyond competition.

Looking ahead, the Multihull Cup will return to Porto Adriano from 23rd to 26th September 2027, inviting more owners of performance multihulls to join this exceptional gathering. The Multihull Cup continues to be a cherished event in the sailing calendar, characterised by its competitive spirit and vibrant community.
