Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez is set to take place from September 26 to October 4, 2026. This prestigious sailing event is known for its unique gathering of classic and modern yachts, showcasing maritime heritage at its finest. Over the summer, the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez has been diligently preparing for this grand occasion, which will feature more than 260 boats, including a historic record fleet of nearly 50 Maxis and three J Class yachts.
Among the highlights, the Edmond de Rothschild Trophy will be awarded to the best of the Maxi 1s. Ariane de Rothschild will present this trophy, which commemorates the legacy of the Edmond de Rothschild family in yachting. The Gitana story, which began 150 years ago, marks a significant anniversary this year, with the family continuing to influence the sport through innovations such as the upcoming Gitana 18, set to compete in the Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe later in the year.
The J Class yachts, known for their elegance and historical significance, will also be a highlight of the regatta. The gathering of vessels like Svea, Rainbow, and Hanuman promises to deliver a thrilling spectacle. Each yacht, with its impressive dimensions and sail area, will compete in dedicated courses off Pampelonne, providing stunning views for spectators.
The Modern fleet is equally impressive with over 120 entries, showcasing a variety of boats and sailors. The IRC 0 class will see fierce competition among TP52s and other high-rated prototypes.
Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez is also famous for its focus on classic yachts, with a significant number of centenarian sailing yachts participating. The Gstaad Yacht Club Centenary Trophy will be raced exclusively for yachts over 100 years old, celebrating its 15th edition in 2026.
