Antigua Racing Cup – Day 2

10 April 2026 – Nelson’s Dockyard, Antigua: The Antigua Racing Cup benefited from strong breeze on the second day of competition with the trade winds shifting to the ESE. This change introduced subtle shifts and lifts in the wind, with the breeze peaking at 20 knots, intensifying the racing action on the south side of the island.

The Race Committee established a variety of courses featuring windward-leeward tracks and reaching legs, using virtual waypoints positioned in the deep waters south of Antigua. All classes enjoyed up to five hours of exceptional racing, capitalising on these conditions.

The racing will continue on Saturday, 11 April. Regular updates will be provided via the official regatta website: https://antiguaracingcup.com.

The Antigua Racing Cup is part of a larger celebration of racing in Antigua throughout April, featuring three major events that showcase both high-end racers and classic yachts. Following the Antigua Racing Cup, the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta will take place from 15-19 April, appealing to classic sailing enthusiasts. Concluding the month will be the renowned Antigua Sailing Week from 22-26 April, a premier destination sailing event continuing its legacy as one of the world’s oldest and most established regattas.
