80th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race welcomes 100th entrant

As the countdown to the 80th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race reaches 100 days, Back 2 Black has become the race’s 100th entrant.

Media are invited to a filming and interview opportunity with Sean Langman, Back 2 Black‘s owner and Skipper, as she marks a milestone entry in the 80th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.

WHO:

  • Sean Langman: Langman is one of Australia’s most recognised offshore yachtsmen, best known for his multiple Rolex Sydney Hobart campaigns. He has raced everything from high-performance skiffs to maxis, earning a reputation for versatility and relentless competitiveness. He is known for rebuilding yachts and maximising their performance. Langman is also the managing director of Noakes Group, a marine services company that supports many of Australia’s leading racing yachts.

FACT SHEET: BACK 2 BLACK

  • This will be the yacht’s first Rolex Sydney Hobart.
  • The boat is currently on its way to Australia on a container ship.
  • Boat Length: 42 feet (middle sized yacht).
  • Owner: Sean Langman, CEO of Noakes Group.
  • Team: A collection of Corinthian sailors (amateurs), with whom Sean has sailed across multiple campaigns.
