2026 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show officially wraps up for another year

The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), the Southern Hemisphere’s largest four-day marine event, has concluded after welcoming over 41,000 visitors to the Gold Coast from 21-24 May. The event saw participation from local and global leaders in the marine industry, including Horizon Yachts, Maritimo, Riviera, DCH Marine, E-Yachts, Whitehaven, BENETEAU, and De Antonio, showcasing the latest in luxury marine innovation.

SCIBS delivered an impressive showcase that included a sold-out exhibition and hospitality zones, over 70 new product and vessel launches, and an increase in genuine buyers attending the event. The sold-out show confirmed its status as the premier boating event in Australia, attracting a significant turnout of interested buyers looking to explore the latest marine innovations.

Corey Rattray-Wood, Mulpha Events’ General Manager for Events and Partnerships, expressed satisfaction with the event’s success, noting the high visitor interest and the strong demand for marine products. He highlighted that the event continues to grow and reinforce its position as a must-attend event on the global marine calendar, contributing significantly to the Gold Coast’s economy.

Exhibitors reported strong attendance and sales, with companies like Maritimo, Riviera, Palm Beach Motor Yachts, and Sailfish Catamarans experiencing increased buyer engagement. Maritimo’s Marketing Manager, Simon Stewart, noted record viewings at their display, with a significant number of visitors booking appointments to inspect their models.

Riviera showcased 12 luxury motor yachts, including the global debut of the 6200 Sport Yacht. Owner Rodney Longhurst remarked on the importance of showcasing Australian manufacturing and the warm reception from new yacht owners at the event.

Sailfish Catamarans also reported over $2 million in sales during the show, reflecting strong interest across all their models. Meanwhile, on-land exhibitors, including Nautique Central, Grand Boats, and Mercury, reported robust sales and buyer interest during the four-day event.

As SCIBS 2026 comes to a close, preparations are already underway for the 38th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, scheduled for 20-23 May 2027. The event is owned and presented by Mulpha Events, supported by the Queensland Government, Tourism and Events Queensland, and Experience Gold Coast.
