Porto | Vila Nova de Gaia | Matosinhos
📅 August 1–8, 2025
⛵ 202 Teams | 26 Countries
Plenty of Australian teams for us to cheer on at this regatta, with 5 boys teams and 1 girls team. Top Aussies after Day 1 were both Manly 16 Skiff teams, Heidi Bates / Zara Marks in 30th and Goro Tomishima / Orlando Sadlik in 38th. This regatta holds very fond memories in our family, being the first Worlds that Tash competed in with Annie Wilmot back in 2015
What a start to the 2025 29er Worlds in Porto! The day kicked off with a coaches meeting and a skippers briefing 🧢⛵, setting the tone for an exciting first day on the water. After a patient wait for the wind to fill in, racing finally got underway with Course A starting at 15:00 and Course B at 15:30.
Despite the late start, sailors, coaches, and the whole team showed incredible spirit, and we truly appreciate the positive energy everyone brought to the first day of competition! 💪✨
