50th Transpac Race – calling all Australian Sydney Hobart racers

Comments Comments

The Transpac 2019 marks the 50th running of the world's oldest and longest regularly scheduled ocean race and there are currently 93 entries on the books, with another 14 showing intention.

This is a call out to Philippe Kahn, Matt Allen, David Witt, Jim Cooney, Peter Harburg, Neville Crichton, Mark Richards, Carl Crawford and the entire Rolex Sydney Hobart fleet to join in this historic race across the Pacific. Let's break 110 entries!

Transpac is a race steeped in a tradition of two things we’re fond of: Aloha and Commerce. It’s a wonderful journey that starts and ends in two great venues.

Rum-line (pun intended) is 2,225 nautical miles of warm breezes across an indigo blue ocean. The finish features one of the world’s most spectacular landfalls. At the dock they hand you a cold beverage in a carved out Pineapple. The race welcomes all, from families to Grand Prix competitors.

The Transpac is a wonderful race. This year marks the 50th anniversary. If you’re so inclined; make plans now. We look forward to welcoming you to Rainbow Harbor in 2019. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop in sooner at Gladstone’s Long Beach.
